Course Description

The course will develop models for the 24 main clastic reservoirs we deal with in the subsurface. These recent models will include processes, core record, log signatures and geometry. These will be tied to outstanding outcrop examples and then to subsurface examples (including seismic signatures).

Biography

Larry Meckel is an Exploration Consultant in Denver where he teaches numerous courses for the industry. He started his career with Shell developing Recent Sand Models. He was part of the Canadian Hunter team that discovered Elmworth. In 2017 he was awarded the Sidney Powers Memorial Award, the highest honor of the AAPG. He has also been the recipient of their Distinguished Educator Award (2011).
