Course Description

This course will document the depositional model for every major clastic reservoir we work with in subsurface:

  1. Using Recent and Late Pleistocene = “Ground Truth”
  2. Show outstanding outcrops in these reservoirs
  3. Look at subsurface examples and seismic expressions


Larry Meckel is an adjunct Professor at the Colorado School of Mines. He teaches graduate level classes in “Unconventional Petroleum Systems”. He is also an exploration consultant with L.D. Meckel & Co., in Denver Colorado
