CJEG INVITES YOU TO SUBMIT A PAPER FOR PUBLICATION IN THE 2026 Canadian Journal of Exploration Geophysics (CJEG)
We are pleased to invite contributions for the 2026 issue of the Canadian Journal of Exploration Geophysics (CJEG).
CJEG provides a forum for publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific papers that advance the science and application of geophysics. The journal is available to all CSEG members through the CSEG website, and issues become openly accessible to non-members three years after their initial publication.
We welcome contributions from industry and academia presenting innovative research, novel methodologies, case studies, reviews, and tutorials that address current challenges and emerging opportunities in geophysics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation
- Electromagnetic, gravity, and magnetic methods
- Near-surface geophysics and environmental applications
- Reservoir characterization and monitoring
- Machine learning and AI in geophysical workflows
- Advances in inversion, modeling, and imaging techniques
Both theoretical and applied studies are encouraged. The editors particularly welcome papers based on real data and case histories that demonstrate current technologies and their practical applications, as well as tutorial articles that introduce useful concepts and stimulate new ideas.
All papers undergo a rigorous peer-review process to evaluate the methods, results, and conclusions and to maintain high scientific, editorial, and production standards.
The submission deadline is November 1, 2026. This will allow sufficient time for peer review and editorial processing, with the aim of publishing the issue by December 15, 2026.
We warmly encourage you and your colleagues to contribute to the 2026 CJEG issue and help us continue its tradition of disseminating high-quality and practically relevant geophysical research.
o Editors, Satinder Chopra, Lee Hunt and Mauricio Sacchi
