CSEG Foundation Scholarship Application

Requirements for filing applications

In the respective award year:

  • University Entrance (high school graduate) applications for students entering university in the fall must be received on or before June 15.
  • University and technical intitution student applications must be received on or before November 1.
  • Complete applications require (incomplete or late applications will not be considered):
    1. All sections of the online application completed
    2. Transcripts (details below)
    3. Two reference letters (details below)


  • Applications must include official transcripts for current and previous degree programs. If you are entering university or a first-year university or technical institute student, please include your high school transcript. Where applicable, please include a list of courses currently in progress.
  • Official transcripts may be uploaded in Section 2 of the online application, or scanned and emailed to csegf.scholarships@shaw.ca.


Two letters of recommendation in support of your application are required. One must be from a professor or instructor. A letter of recommendation is also desirable from a past or current employer. These letters must be emailed directly to the Scholarship Committee csegf.scholarships@shaw.ca by the respective author on or before the application deadline

Special Notes

  1. If you have a nickname or preferred name that you are known as, please indicate that on your application.
  2. Scholarship recipients will be contacted by email, so please ensure that you provide a valid email address.
  3. Successful applicants will be requested to submit a short biography and photo for publication in the CSEG Recorder, and, compose a thank you letter for to their scholarship sponsor.
