Registration will be opening soon for the Geophysical Industry Field Trip (GIFT) 2026! This exciting event will take place from May 6–9, 2026, in Calgary, offering a unique opportunity to connect with industry professionals and experience real-world geophysics in action.
GIFT has brought together geoscience students from across Canada to explore how geophysical surveys are planned, data is acquired and processed, and the subsurface is interpreted. This year, participants will enjoy lectures in downtown Calgary on Thursday, an afternoon field visit to the Carbon Management Canada field site, followed by an overnight in Brooks and a field trip in Dinosaur Prov. Park or Drumheller.
To make attendance more accessible, the CSEG Foundation’s Travel Grant & Learning Subsidy program can help cover travel costs for GIFT and GeoConvention, which takes place the following week.
